Posted September 27, 2020 So my computer had a i5-8400 in it, I took apart a dell computer with a i7-6700 cpu in it to get more GHz. The i7 didn’t work and the computer fans were spinning but nothing on the monitor. I put back in the I5 and the same thing is happening. Posted September 27, 2020 first 8400 is as good as 6700 and 6th and 7th gen cpus doesnt work in 8th and 9th gen motherboards if it was useful give it a like btw if your into linux pay a visit here Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
