This is 1 year later, i understand. But if anyone is reading this, are rubber domes more quiet than mx reds?

 

Yes definatly, if you bottom out on reds. If you don't bottom out on reds then they make no noise. If you do bottom out then they make plenty of noise. Much more then a  standard rubber dome. No were near the noise of the Model M I'm typing on now though
