do i really need a vpn

Most of the time i'm surfing around the web on windows(10) pc help with chrome up-to data version. it has also producted with antivirus(biddefender) programe. lot of time i saw VPN ads on LTT chennal just i thoughted that vpn i do really need web surfing

You absolutely do not need a VPN to surf the internet. You don't really get much more privacy from using one - or any security - unless your traffic is going through somewhere you don't want it seen.

 

If you are very privacy-concious, there are a few reasons you might want one, though they can also be a little dubious.

No, you don't need VPN for general privacy or security purpose as most website are already encrypted with SSL / Https.

Just make sure when you browse the net the website is on https not http, especially if you're sending any sensitive data (filling forms, credit card etc).

VPN has it's special purpose like opening country restricted website or if you really wan't to hide from everyone.

For general browsing, not needed.

So what, it's give and take, you browse the site taking some info, they give you ads so they can survive and give you more info.

Its not necessary, but it is a good tool to help with privacy and anonymity. Using one could help mitigate certain aspects of  ad tracking, as well as add an extra layer of encryption to your connection. But definitely not a necessary tool.
