Sudden drops in fps for no reason

I have been playing on this laptop for a long time on consistent 60 fps with no issues. However, I downloaded War Thunder from Steam yesterday and it worked well, but after an hour the FPS dropped to 30 and got capped there for no reason.

I restarted the game, restarted the PC, disabled V-sync from Nvidia control panel, and deleted the whole game and its driver. Still, the fps starts at 60 and then drops to 30 after some time on all games.

Specs:

CPU:I5-9300h

GPU: GTX 1650

RAM: 8 GB

SSD: 512 GB M.2 NVME

Battery: Connected all time so no need

GPU Driver: 456.38

Overclocked: No

Security: The PC was never exposed to apparent Virus or Malware threats

Pls help...

Check the temperatures on that while gaming. Run some anti malware program just in case something slipped in.

Sounds like Thermal Throttling. After about an hour it gets too hot so it downclocks.

Is there a way to cool it down while still gaming?

Thanks

Ok thanks. Actually, the temps feel hot even without even looking for them.
