Is your battery life an actual problem? The battery drain you're described can be perfectly normal depending on how often you check your battery life.

 

You can check your battery usage in Settings > Battery if you're unsure what apps are consuming battery life.

I hardly use it, just at home on wifi when Texts are getting low,

I am so confused.... but I will attempt to decipher this, so correct me if I am wrong.

 

You went from 100% charge to 94% charge throughout the day. You went from 94% chargeto 92% charge overnight.

The device is connected to WiFi only, but only gets used to send text messages though a free Android App, when your primary device is close to running out of prepaid text messages.

 

Battery life seems reasonable to me, especially if the App is sending data constantly over WiFi.

Background tasks and WiFi both consume additional power whether your using it or not.

 

Of course we know nothing about the device to know how it should perform normally. Regardless, losing 6% battery throughout the day is pretty good in my opinion.

First of all, would be great to know your Android device's model name at least. Secondly, are you now running an official or custom OS? And then, when that "fast battery draining" started exactly? Was it yesterday, a week ago, or it's been like that that since you bought it and just didn't notice before? 

 

Just like Nayr438 said, losing only about 10% charge in a day is very good benchmark for today's smartphones. For example, with my everyday phone i lose 50-70% battery everyday even with 4500mAh battery. So, i think there's nothing to worry about for you.
