Considering making a server computer

I was thinking about making a server computer eventually but i wanted to see if there was any specific type of motherboard or processor i should buy instead of just doing normal processor and motherboard. the main thing i am going to use it for to start off is minecraft but i want to make it good to start so that it wont lag with 4+ people on and exploring at the same time

then get something like a i5 10th gen, 16gb+ ram, 1-2 tb ssd or hdd and a quality psu.

Get a i5 dell from ebay (second gen or later) add 8gb of ram and done.
