Open ear upgrade

djewell314

Currently have CHC silverados and love them, but i want a nicer pair of open back headphones. I primarily listen to classic rock and acoustic indie rock. I like the sound of the silverados and was wondering what a good upgrade is. Been looking at some grado rs2i (375).

P.S. Budget of $400

Honestly Grado's, maybe HD600's or SRH1440's.

Is that a yes or no to grados? Cant always understand full meaning through just text.

It is a yes for the Grados though in you aren the most gental person they won't be a good fit as they are of the highest build. Though they do sound great.

The lack of a detachable cable may or may not also be a long term drawback that you should take into account for. But I can't really stres how good they sound. Though I do like the Shures just for different reasons.

personally Id say hd650 or hd600, but you will need an amp, however Grados are very well regarded for Rock but I cant speak from experience.
