Code 10 error Specified range could not be found in the range list

I've run into a problem after my younger brother plugged my 32 foot usb 3.0 extension for my windows mixed reality headset into a usb 2.0 port. After which I plugged into a usb 3.0 port but, the realtek controller has produced a code 10 error stating "Specified range could not be found in the range list". The usb extension still functions but I cannot seem to get a signal or boot sequence from the headset when I use it (it should be noted that the headset worked before and that until only recently has it given me any trouble, and yes the headset works on its own).

USB 2.0 might not be providing enough power...

It's plugged into a usb 3.0 port that's where my issue is arising. Hope this is helpful.
