MacOS safari website running continuously

I bought a Mac a few days ago; so I was looking around for apps to tweak the software to my liking, and I downloaded fanny (a cpu temperature/fan speed monitoring widget). I ended up deleting the app but now the website (/process) seems to be running the entire time safari is.

I've spotlight searched to check for any residual files and deleted them, but with no change. Any advice is appreciated (screenshot for reference)

 

EDIT: Fixed by going to Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data... , deleting all data relating to that site and then rebooting.

Yes, I checked it was removed when I first noticed the issue.

What did you use to remove the app? Did you just delete it?

 

I always had great success with this one when I still ran OSX.

Thanks for the suggestion but I've got it working now.
