I need a GPU

I need a GPU, im tired of straining the Vega 8 on my Ryzen 3 2200G  just to have decent graphics. I have a 400W 80+ bronze PSU, and about $158 to work with. I need recommendations. (send amazon links please, as it is the only online shopping service i use)

So I had a look on Amazon for you. My Reccomendedations are either the GTX 1650 or an RX 570.

RX 570

https://www.amazon.com/XFX-Radeon-1286MHz-Graphics-RX-570P8DFD6/dp/B077VX31FZ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=rx+570&qid=1599473907&sr=8-3

GTX 1650

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-128-Bit-Support-Graphics/dp/B07QTMRJTK/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=1650&qid=1599474704&sr=8-6

I would go with the GTX 1650. The power reccomendation is 300W which will be fine in your case as you have a 400W. Whereas the RX 570's reccomendation is 450W. It should be fine in your case as you are rocking a lower tier CPU (nothing wrong with 2200g, it pairs nicely with both cards).

That's my reccomendation. Hope it helps. But before you buy. Please wait a few weeks if not a few months to see if any price drops occur. That way you may pay less for your GPU and have a bit of money left to save for something else, maybe another upgrade

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

hmm, would a rx 560 be any better than my vega 8 or would the cost to performance be no different?

the 560 is a lot better, even the GT 1030 beats the integrated graphics. Though, I don't recommend the card since it has some poor value.

If you needed a card with only a 6 pin connector, the 570 works with only a 6 pin plugged in.

Get a used one from eBay. Now its the right time to start looking for used GPUs, prices will go down when the new 3000 actually hits the market so wait a bit and get a used NVIDIA card. i assume you can go up to 2060 with that PSU

Not if the Vega 8 gets "overclocked" up to what the Vega cores are designed to run at . (1500MHz should be very attainable, even with the Wraith cooler, and will beat a 1030 handily) Just don't overclock the CPU at the same time, unless you're on water.

You're limiting yourself to more expensive, and far fewer options, and still expect a budget card? Why do you not want the best performance you can get? Even if you want new, Amazon is among the worst places to shop for PC parts. (Newegg is the best right now)

This would probably be your best option in your price range for a new GPU: https://www.newegg.com/asrock-radeon-rx-570-rx570-8g-oc/p/N82E16814930008?Item=N82E16814930008

OP is not trying to limit their self. They may simply not have the experience or just be really comfortable with it. Or they have prime and want their upgrade as soon as possible.

Either way we need to respect their wishes and find them a GPU on Amazon

Wouldn't a used 580 fit the budget? Or is that too power hungry for the PSU?

Since OP said amazon links only I assumed the 580 would be less viable. I also don't recommend it for the PSU though, we've only heard that it's a "crappy 400/430 watt unit"

No Problems, I'm sorry the RX 570s a bit over budget, I hope it's not an issue. I know sticking to a tight budget can be hard, trying to build a system of my own and parts keep looking more and more expensive.

Most grocery stores sell giftable debit cards. Just load one of those up, and you can use it just like a credit card. (I've had to do it in the past myself)
