BMC web gui

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum, so if I have posted in the wrong section please forgive me.

I have a problem with ipmi on my gigabyte r180-f34 servers.

In the webgui I did a reboot of the BMC, upon restarting the BMC web server no longer allows me to connect.

any browser i've used has returned an ssl certificate error with connection refused.

I can still ssh into it, although it shows me some weird server management protocol that I have no experience with.

I tried doing a cold restart with ipmi tool as well and it did nothing.
I can still log in via ssh with the credentials I setup tho, I just cannot get web gui access.

If anyone has any suggestions or thing I could try I'm willing to attempt it to get it back up.

Thanks!

On the SSL cert error page, there should be a little link you can click to 'connect anyways'. You could also try downgrading the connection from https to http by editing the url.

Unfortunately there is no connect anyways, its a connection refused error. if you go to http it will throw an error saying moved to https.

That's often the calling card of a firewall, or as a lower level alternative to something like an HTTP 403. Perhaps the BMC has some kind of whitelist?

You might need to get a physical console connection. Often in the boot sequence of a server there is a separate 'press some key' to view the settings for the IPMI, just like with the bios and raid. You may need to reflash the firmware or something if you don't see anything obvious.

Under the login the only things that can be seen are the intel boot agent and the 10gbe network card.

I dont think pfsense has blocked anything on the IPMI (i've checked)
I know the java security hasn't blocked it nor the windows firewall, and I've tried to access with the same results off different vm's as well on my network.
