I was wondering if I could replace a MSI H310M Pro-VDH PLUS Micro-ATX to an ASRock b450 pro4 m?

Thanks!

Well no. The cpu from the H310M will not fit in the B450 motherboard. You would need to buy an AMD cpu for the B450 board..

IF they're both mATX motherboards, they'll work. The m in "ASRock b450 pro4 m"  says it's a mATX model so it should work.

If your new motherboard is standard ATX, it MAY work, provided the case can accept standard ATX motherboards.

Standard ATX are just longer, so if there's some empty room at the bottom of your current motherboard and some standoffs for screws (about 3 fingers worth of space at least), then your case should also accept regular ATX motherboards.

Sorry for the late response. Does it matter if the standoff holes don't have a hole for a standoff?

No, it's not required to have standoffs under every screw hole.

You want at least 2 or 3 on the edges of the motherboard, so that when the screws are tightened, the board will center itself over the standoffs.

Next, you'll want standoffs in locations where there's gonna be downwards  pressure, for example near the pci-e slot used by video cards, or close to the 24pin connector.  The idea is to reduce the bending/flexing that could happen when you insert a card or insert the 24 pin connector.

In the case of the 24 pin connector a simple workaroud is to just slide a finger under the circuit board where the connector is, while you press down on the connector at the top... your finger will prevent the board from flexing and once the connector is locked into the header, it's no longer a problem.

Standoffs and screws at the very bottom of the board are often missing in computers, because there's no heavy components there, so pretty much no chance of motherboard bending so much as to touch the metal case with its bottom.

But if you're paranoid, you could simply improvize and cut some plastic spacers from a ball point pen or just fold a piece of paper several times until it's the right thickess and slide it under the motherboard where standoffs should be.
