Okay i did both and there is still one saying there is a leak, but youtube problem has gone away, it doesnt show the 'AE' and i go straight into the US version

so it did help

The leak could just be down to your specific VPN. Sometimes a good VPN leaks, I don't know why/how but it happens from time to time. Try switching servers and see what happens. If no dice, you may want to consider a VPN change.

So essentially after Tunnel bear went south i switched to ExpressVPN off the recommendation of a friend, and have been using it ever since, i never really switched to PIA because it did with i needed and didnt have any bad experiences.

But essentially i see that some websites give me the 'Dubai' or 'United Arab Emirates version' when i am connected to New York

Like YouTube shows below:

it also happens with Amazon where it directs me to Amazon.AE

is this meant to happen, or is my VPN not working well ?

btw i checked and my IP address is from New york

i checked with VPN in New York and Toronto and with it turned off (from south America) and it still says "AE" so maybe it is just some weird Caching thing

i did try clear all cache from my browser but it still didnt change the mark

i did try use the link

https://www.youtube.com/?gl=US

and that seemed to work, but unsure why vpn didnt change it automatically

Try a DNS test. Maybe your DNS is leaking and therefore thinks you're in another country. That has happened to me on Nord. I just switch servers, do another DNS test, and if it's not leaking, it works as intended.

I usually set my DNS to cloudflare

this was the result with VPN turned off :

Well per the photo's I don't see why a website would think your from the Middle East. Try removing Cloudflare as your DNS. Let the VPN do the work. You might wanna try a DNS flush.

PIA is based in the USA, which is a prying eyes country (that's what I call it. It's really Five Eyes or Fourteen Eyes alliances). Meanwhile Nord is located in Panama, a country which is not part of the prying eyes. That's why I went with Nord. They also have a no logs policy too. Which, they really do mean "no logs" because their servers strait up can't even do it. I would recommend Nord personally. I've been, "acquiring", downloads for years now with no intrusion from my ISP.
