Razer Deathadder issues?

hi everyone! so I switched over to windows 8.1. lots of scrolling involved.

 

when I scroll down it works fine, but scrolling up with my deathadder is sketchy at best. if it recognizes it, it jerky and and scroll down by itself. I used a 5 dollar mouse up until this and i never had this problem, like what.

 

any solutions or help would be appericated!
