Will RTX 3070/80 work on a FreeSync Monitor?

Hello, I want to upgrade this month to a RTX 3080 or even a 3070, but my problem is that I have a FreeSync monitor because I have a RX 5700 XT in my PC right now, will the RTX will be able to use my monitor ? If so, will there be any screen tearing while playing games? Thanks and sorry if this does not really make sense, english is not my main language haha :)

What monitor do you have? Usually on the product page it will say if it is g-sync compatible.

Looks like it supports both according to the product page, provided it's the VG24VQ, and not a misreported product number.

It seems people are entirely unaware of other anti-tearing features that don't depend on monitor, like Adaptive V-Sync and Fast V-Sync...

I have a 1080Ti and freesync works fine with Nvidia cards only if you plug it with DisplayPort. Once you got your 3070/80 and installed drivers go to Nvidia Control Panel on the right you'll see the Set-up G-Sync option and you open it and that's all you have to do to enable Freesync.

Monitor: Samsung C27HG
