I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

I would look at the Tier list and pick something from Tier A based on what you are thinking on buying.

The 3080 will be a high end GPU so pick a very high quality PSU to power it.

Multi-Rail is an added safety feature so none of the rails will output over a certain amount of AMPS before shutting itself down.

Basically means the PSU will shut down instead of melting connectors instead of feeding more power to the fault up to the maximum power load the PSU is rated at.

IMO it makes the most difference with the higher wattage PSUs, 850W and up.

NVIDIA recommends 750W or more for the RTX 3080.

PSU is YOUR choice however in the end....

Personally if you can afford a RTX 3080 then you can afford a good PSU to run it.

It will be awhile yet before they actually hit the market....

I mean,, I'm not convinced you actually NEED a 750W PSU, but from that list the Corsair CX750 looks to be the best option since it's LLC with DC to DC.

Recommendation is made based on PC configured with an Intel Core i9-10900K processor. A lower power rating may work depending on system configuration.

Note: The above specifications represent this GPU as incorporated into NVIDIA's reference graphics card design. Clock specifications apply while gaming with medium to full GPU utilization. Graphics card specifications may vary by add-in-card manufacturer. Please refer to the add-in-card manufacturers' website for actual shipping specifications.

the 3700x doesnt even consume near the amount of power a 10900k does

i didnt say anything of going with a 550 watt did i?

i'd rather wait for the reviews and see how much this thing actually consumes rather than just throw out random numbers

I agree...

I think they are going to draw more power than what they say they will.

Especially the partner cards.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 3x 8 Pin power connections...

I don't PLAN on buying one, but we will see what the 3080Ti looks like once they come out.... What EVGA does with them in the FTW3 line...

No plans to upgrade now however, but if the 3080Ti looks good maybe once the FTW3 3080Ti comes out....

IMO the 2080Ti is PLENTY...... Been running it now for about 1 1/2 years....
