Recently I've started using more forums on my phone, although I still prefer a desktop. Is there any way I can turn a webpage (LTT forums ect) into a stand alone app. Google had a feature like this in flags but it recently got removed

You can have a bookmark put on your phone home screen in some web browsers. I have that and I'm using Samsung Internet.

Yes, that's currently my workaround (edge) but I prefer having my apps in the drawer and my widgets (for monitoring all kinds of things) on the home screen. I was just wondering if anyone found a way to trick android into thinking it's a full blown app

Wait, are your talking about the "Add to Home screen" feature that creates a pseudo app of a website?
If so... It's still there for me in Chrome and Vivaldi on Android.

Or is it some other feature I'm not aware of?

No, that's what I use for now. But if I recall correctly, there was a flag you could enable that would actually install apps, not just adding a shortcut to the home screen
