First time posting so please let me know if I've done anything wrong.

Hey so I haven't built many PC's before but enough to have an idea of things. My girlfriend wants me to build her a PC and since the build is aesthetics first I had the idea to buy the Yeston cute cat rx5600xt. Other than the sketchiness of the Banggood link I'm worried about GPU Temps.

https://banggood.app.link/TllSrnIVo9

(Currently shipping but no idea when it'll arrive)

So I've paired it with the CoolerMaster nr200p and chosen to use the vertical GPU mount (100% worse for temps but the main reason for buying the GPU is for the looks). Gamersnexus reviewed the same shroud design on an rx580.

So I was wondering if there might be anything I can do for this shroud other than changing the thermal paste because I think it might run abit hot. I have some Noctua thermal paste from a previous build so I'd be using that. If anyone has suggestions that would be great or if they think temps will be fine then I would be fine with keeping it as it is.

Question 2. I've heard people have had troubles with riser cables and 5700xt's, anything I need to know? Would I have to buy another cable?

Btw this is my first ITX build and I'm pretty sure all the parts fit fine but I'm not looking forward to the cable management. And a 240 AIO might be abit overkill for a Ryzen 5 3600 but it looks sick.

Any help would be great, thanks everyone.

Parts list: (only the GPU has been purchased so any suggestions are welcome)

Case: CoolerMaster nr200p White

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-B450 I AORUS PRO

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600

CPU Cooler: EKWB 240 AIO

RAM: GSKILL TRIDENT Z 16GB @ 3600mhz

Storage: WD Blue SN550 1TB M.2 NVMe

PSU: Corsair 450w 80+ platinum (for the sleeved cables)

GPU: Yeston rx5600xt

how could you not go with the cute pet case along with the cute pet gpu, blasphemy.

as for temps, dont worry about it until you receive it. Test it.

if there's an issue then post this again.

if not, happy computing

as for the pcie riser, if you're having issue, set the connection speed to pcie 3.0 instead of 4.0. it should fix it and see no performance difference

-sigh- feeling like I'm being too negative lately

Haha would have loved the case but whoever ships it to Australia makes a killing, I think it was around $500 USD for the case and shipping.

I'm a big planning type of person, but true I can't really complain of temps if they haven't happened yet haha, I'll update if I get any problems.

Thanks for the riser help too.

Any reputable thermal paste will work about the same. If you want to go all out, buy some conformal coating and some liquid metal.

Yeah probably won't OC the card at all. Knew about liquid metal but was scared of shorting stuff, cool to know conformal coating is a thing. If I'm struggling with temps It's an option, thanks.
