[GB] Used GPU Price/Performance Rundown

Spurred on by the ~$1400 price of the RTX 3090...

I've put a spreadsheet together to compare price to performance to memory size for used GPU's in the UK

 - So why include memory size?

Good Question!

  1. I'm trying to run two 2k screens and do high part count CAD work, so the more the merrier!
  2. It kinda helps distinguish the better GPU's
  3. Because I want to!

So here's the data:

So without the memory size included, the best price to performance is...

A GTX 950!

Not very exciting is it...

I wouldn't necessarily take the cheapest P/P/GB on this list either.

It doesn't take in to account availability, age, general usability and many more things.

but you can glance over the list to get an idea.

You can see that in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th are the 1070, 1060, and 1080 ti.

Those are probably you're best choices currently.

Let me know what GPU you would buy right now if you had to.

Also let me know how I could've improved this, I put this together in about 30 mins (included searching Ebay) so it isn't very extensive research.

I'll probably be getting a 1080 Ti 😁

Thanks!

Nice chart. I do feel like amd is missing a bit from this chart as in general they sell for less than nvidia on the used market.

That's a great point! I totally forgot about AMD 😅

When I get a spare 30 mins I'll add an updated chart with some AMD cards included

Here's the update!

I'm pleasantly surprised with the Vega 56 and 64 price to performance!

Definitely contenders for a used GPU upgrade 😁

Another couple cards to consider are the 290/390, fury nano and hd 280/285/7950/7970. Those last four are basically the same and outperform the 1050 whilst being dirtcheap. The 290/390(x) are great value cards for people that want rx 480 performance and the nano is a 980ti basically that can often get found for really cheap and is super small.
