Please comment my build plan

Budget (including currency): $500

Country: Ireland

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: XCOM 2, Two Point Hospital, Sims 3, Sims 4, Minecraft, Battlefield 1, Kingdom Come, Apex Legend, PUBG, World of Warships, Stars Citizen, AOE DE

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I have 2 PCs.

PC 1: Intel i5 4690K, MSI Z97 PC Mate, TX 750W, H60 AIO

PC 2: Intel i5 9600K, Asus ROG STRIX Z390 Gaming - F, Vengeance 3000MHz, H100i AIO, RMi 850W, Rocket Sabrent 1TB

I want to replace the 4690K because the TX 750W is almost dead. Actually I have already bought a CX 550W PSU.

Now I am hesitating between AMD and Intel and my budget is < $500 (Including the CX 550W which I had paid for $79).

I thought about a possible upgrade path in the future so between A520, B550 an X570, I am seriously considering B550 for the motherboard.

As for CPU, I have once set eyes on 3100 but after reading a few reviews I m more inclined towards 3300X given its comparatively more superior structure over the 3100.

These are the two components which I believe are the most crucial parts of the new build.

For cooling I either use the stock Stealth Air cooler or reuse my H60 AIO (I know it's dated and using it is silly but it's still functioning so why not)

As for RAMs, they are dropping in price so I guess I will get a stick of 2 16GB.

What you folks reckon about my plan?

I think 32gb is kind of overkill for gaming. I’d suggest 16gb

Ok, point taken. But then say, if I can find a 32GB kit which is $10 or $15 more than a 16GB one, should I go for the 32GB one?

yes, but id be surprised if you could find one with similar speeds and timings for that difference. where are you buying from because you keep listing dollars? 3300X is only £120 but is out of stock at the moment. You could buy for that price and wait i guess.
