Help with MSI GTX 1660 Ventus XS OC

Hi,

 

I'm currently trying to instal the MSI GTX 1660 Ventus XS OC graphics card into a NZXT H510 Case and Asrock b450m pro4 motherboard. When i am installing there is a metal bit  (the same metal that covers the port) and it sticks out at the back further than the pins to slot it into the board.

 

I've tried Youtube but I can't find the answer, any help would be great.

This "metal bit" should go between your mobo and the case. Line the GPU up with the rear cutouts on your case and then just slide it down into the PCIe slot. The IO-cover (this is what the metal bit is called) should not interfere with anything and just slide down between mobo and case.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

Thank you! In the end it was to do with the case i think. It had another bit to unscrew to put it in
