I keep getting unexpected_kernel_mode_trap error and blue screen crashes.

full specs would help, along with what you have tried so far... that error is often a driver error, check for any driver updates for any of your hardware, and try running "sfc /scannow" in cmd(admin)

If possible, try reinstalling windows with a Media Creation Tool.  During the process, delete any/and/or/all partitions and start completely fresh.    The kernal is nothing to be messed with.
