Looks right. Plug it in into a usb 3.0 port in the motherboard IO (The one with the blue plastic) and hope for the best. Good Luck.

Pc build;

msi x570 gaming edge wifi

ryzen 7 3700x

corsair vengeance rgb pro 2x8gb

gigabyte windforce rtx 2070 super

seasonic focus 750w

nvme m.2 250gb wd black

500gb ssd wd velociraptor

it powers up, let’s me enter the boot setup but the usb drive isn’t in the list and I have no idea what to do! I’ve never built a pc before and me and my son did it together, I’ve checked the cables twice, no idea what to do, literally want to cry 😭

I am assuming that you are talking about the windows usb stick. Have you tried different usb ports? and maybe try using a different usb stick

Yes the windows boot usb, tried both usb 2 ports, my son said the flash drive isn’t usb 3 so not to put it in that one, just redownloading the windows files in case there was something wrong with the first download

1) Try plugging it in from the back.

2) Try using different USB sticks.

3) check if the Windows Installation is correct.

As long as you are able to enter the BIOS settings you are good.

Good Luck!

Going to search for another usb now, we don’t use them often

I think so, it says ‘creating windows 10 media’ and the progress and when it finishes I eject the flash drive

I suggest you wait until it says finish the process and wait till the program exits.

Then you could proceed with removing the flash.

Yeah I mean I think it’s downloading correctly, this is the 2nd attempt as it wasn’t recognising the usb to boot from the first time
