Monitor Problem:
Monitor:
I would love to have triple monitor setup but the cost is way too much for this, and I am not sure if 1080p will even work for my daily working job (Programming)
Currently I am using Dell U2719D 1440p IPS monitor and its perfect. I am planning to sell this monitor because it will not work for gaming.

Options:
1) Keep Dell U2719D and get - ViewSonic Elite XG270QG 27"
2) Sell the Dell and get Triple - AOC 24G2 24"

3) Sell the Dell and get ultrawide - LG 38GL950G-B 38"

if i were in your situation:

use the 3600 and 2060 as placeholders for next gen components. at your price range its worth waiting for a bit. 1000 bucks will likely get you in 3080 territory which should be significantly better than the 2080 super. same scenario with the cpu, zen 3 should be a big jump just like previous ryzen gens. worst case scenario you lose 100-200 bucks reselling the placeholders, but youre likely to recoup a lot of those costs. depending on what next gen pricing is, you could get another 1440p monitor. an ultrawide might not be the worst idea either

topics i need help on:

Spoiler

my "oops i bought intel right before zen 3 releases" build

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (placeholder)

GPU: Gigabyte 980ti Xtreme (also placeholder), deshroud w/ generic 1200rpm 120mm fans x2, stock bios 130% power, no voltage offset: +70 core +400 mem

Memory: 2x16gb GSkill Trident Z RGB 3600C16, 14-15-30-288@1.45v

Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming

Cooler: Noctua NH-D15S w/ white chromax bling
OS Drive: Samsung PM981 1tb (OEM 970 Evo)

Storage Drive: XPG SX8200 Pro 2tb

Backup Storage: Seagate Barracuda Compute 4TB

PSU: Seasonic Prime Ultra Titanium 750W w/ black/white Cablemod extensions
Case: Fractal Design Meshify C Dark (to be replaced with a good case shortly)

basically everything was bought used off of reddit or here, only new component was the case. absolutely nutty deals for some of these parts, ill have to tally it all up once it's "done" :D

I agree, Actually as suggested before I am not in a hurry currently.

Might start buying parts each month leaving GPU and CPU until we see the new GPU and CPU.
If there is no value getting the new GPU or if old GPU prices goes down I will keep the current list.

This is the updated list (comments/suggestions are welcome)

just wanna mention that builds in the tu150 with a chromax'd d15/d15s look amazing:

the bequiet dark rock pro also helps fill in a lot of space. the d15s with a single fan lets the rgb ram shine through and its great. i personally wouldnt pay 95 bucks for a u12s, theyre supposed to be 60-70 and thats still a bit much imo

keep in mind that the b550i is basically an x570i but cheaper and a bit better, the extra 4.0 lanes arent important in the tiny form factor. also, the b550i has a usb c front header but the x570i doesnt. in just about every other way theyre identical, even the vrms are exactly the same.

also, the a400 wont slot into either board. the m.2 is strictly m-key (nvme only) not the sata shape. this would work properly and be significantly faster https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/3vWBD3/kingston-a2000-250-gb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-sa2000m8250g

as per this tomshardware review, there are generally better alternatives to the mp510 https://www.tomshardware.com/uk/reviews/corsair-force-mp510-ssd,5848-2.html

unless you need the way overkill endurance, the s11 is faster in extended burst and the sn750 is faster in really extended uses, and both are cheaper.

other than that, you could spring for some b die that would give you some extra performance if you wanna fill in the budget: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/gqkgXL/gskill-trident-z-neo-32-gb-2-x-16-gb-ddr4-3600-memory-f4-3600c16d-32gtzn
