Wait a week for Ampere. Do you need GPU horse power? Something like a 3900x or something based on Zen 3 would be awesome. (Zen 3 is also coming out soon)

honestly, My knowledge of PC hardware stopped 10 years ago. i think i need at least the Ryzen 5 3600, but 3900x will be too much for my budget.

You could check this list out. You can recycle your psu and use it on your new build. You can change the case (i just took the cheapest case) or use your existing case for your new build and storage

Is this “my PC is lame”? or my PC up and died and I can’t read my email”?  Even if the thing is actually dead, I suggest a phone or tablet atm to pass the time until the new hardware comes out. If there’s a drive you got to get into some $159.99 laptop garbage from Walmart is probably the best bet right now.  It’s just really hard to predict with any accuracy what is going to be needed for gaming.  Anything I might suggest even if your budget was ten times what it is runs the risk of not being game worthy atm.

A monitor you could probably do. Something 27” and 1080p/144hz or 1440p/144hz. Make sure it’s got some hdmi and DP.  Might need hdmi for that laptop.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Thanks for your list, but sadly just the cpu and the graphics card already over budget.

How about swapping the cpu for a r5 3600 or r7 3700x. Then recycle your part such as psu, storage, and case( ifwith fans) to cut down on the budget

Can i ask for the spect of your current pc? Let's see what parts can be reused

oh it is dead, the CPU fired with motherboard, only i can save is the hard drive, memory and PSU, and GTX 660ti, the cased i have is a itx case, what mother board will you recommend for ITX for 3600 or 3700x
