ASUS Zenbook 15 gets very hot while under gaming load.

Hey,

So I recently purchased an Asus Zenbook 15 for general work, music production, and light gaming. (Minecraft, Half-Life 2, TF2) I come from a Linux gaming background, so I'm not familiar with how driver updates and general maintenance work on a Windows machine. While gaming, the left side of the laptop gets very hot, which I presume is where the CPU/cooling tubes for the CPU are located, and it is where the heat is expelled from vents on the side. I'm wondering, is this normal for a thin ultrabook? Is there some sort of graphics configuration I'm not doing, and/or are there any other things I should do to "break in" a new machine like this?

Thanks in advance for any help.

'Very hot' is not an indication of whether it is thermal throttling or not. What are your temps while under load?

Under heavy load (TF2, fullscreen gameplay @4K), I just now got temps hovering around 80 degrees Fahrenheit (although earlier today it felt hotter during gameplay.) Clock speed did not seem to diminish though, so I think it is just a case of a hot CPU rather than full-on thermal throttling. (I hope.)

I should have mentioned this before, but my laptop has an Intel Core I7-10510U, Geforce GTX 1650 w. Max-Q, and 16gb RAM.
