My WiFi drops randomly

My WiFi drops randomly. I’ve tried timing it in between but the times are very random. It usually happens once every 30 minutes but one time it happened within 5 min and I’ve gone hours before without it happening (very rare). It happens even whenever I’m the only one on the internet. It happens on my PC, my Xbox, my Nintendo switch, and my chromebook from school. It’s been happening for a few years now, my WiFi provider is time warner cable and the router is an Arris router.
I bought a WiFi extender for my room and it came with an Ethernet port. Both my comp and Xbox are hooked up to Ethernet. The internet is really good whenever it doesn’t drop. 
I think it may just be the WiFi provider but if anyone knows how to fix it then please let me know.

not sure if it will apply to yours, but my arris router was doing the exact same thing pretty much to a t. turns out it was trying to install a firmware update over and over again and failing. called my provider and they forced the update and that fixed it completely. i would call your provider and see if your router needs any updates, long shot, but maybe.

If youre plugged in via ethernet then you're not on WiFi??

 

Do you mean your actual internet drops out?

I think you're getting confused with "WiFI" and just generally your internet service, you can call time warner to see if they can discover and issues on your end / send a tech out, or potentially just swap out your modem/router as it could be causing issues, when you have a drop out try to restart it and see if it comes back online, if it does its most likely that
