Hi, my Asus X570 Gaming F motherboard has two cpu power connectors, one is the usual 8pin which is connected and the second is a 4 pin variety. The manual says I have to connect the 8 pin but the 4 pin is optional, connect if you can but don’t worry if you can’t type thing. My question is would there be any benefit to having both connected? My PSU doesn’t have the lead needed but if it’s not necessary for it to be connected then why is it there?

The second one is for heavy overclocking and ln2 which with Ambient you can't do anyways.

A single 8 pin eps easily provides 384w of power which even a hammered 3950x doesn't consume.

You really should have gone for the E version of that board. the F skimps

They're both normal board and do nothing special.

They're also kind of overpriced.
