I am planning a PC build, and had a question about graphics cards; should I bother getting the MSI 780 lightning? I am planning on overclocking somewhat, but not extremely. I have a reasonable budget and could probably afford it. I was wondering if the possibility of longer lasting and cooler temperatrues is worth it, compared to other cards.

Help me I'm surrounded by morons.

If you're only planning on moderate overclocks, and nothing extreme, you should be fine with any other card if the lightning costs more where you live.   Anything from evga/msi/asus/gigabyte will be more than fine, especially for moderate overclocking.

Lightning cards are made for extreme overclocking, there not much point of buying it if you only plan on doing some fast overclock and not really fine-tune the settings, which may or may not take a lot of time. Any other GTX 770 will be optimal for what you are planning to do with it, you don't really need to overspend on a Lightning card. However, if the pricing is the same, the GTX 770 Lightning will be a very good purchase.
