Hi, so I have 2x8gb 3466 mhz DIMMs of ram in my motherboard at the moment and recently ordered 2x16gb 3200mhz DIMMs to add. I'm wondering if it would be okay to have them all together (in an alternating order of course) to have a total of 48gb of ram in my PC or if some unforeseen issues may come up.

Well mix and matching ram may and may not work.

If they happened to work they'll run in flex mode so let's say 1 8 gig and 1 16gig sticks are on one memory channel, so the 8gig will run in single channel and the 16 gig will run in dual channel and they'll all clock at 3200.

Though any reason you need 48 gigs?
