Swapping a HDD from one PC to another one.

thenewbuilder

Hi everyone, I'm wondering if the following will work, so that I don't swap out the parts for no reason.

I have an old PC which was using HDD_1, which also has an OS there. I build a new PC with SDD_1 and HDD_2. My OS is on SDD_1 on the new PC and HDD_2 is used for file storage. Additionally when I moved to new PC I installed HDD_1 into a new PC, which now has the following setup:
- SDD_1 (OS)

- HDD_2 (File storage)

- HDD_1 (OS & File storage from Old PC)

My question is, I want to uninstall the HDD_1 from new PC and install it back in my old PC where it was working before, will the OS from HDD_1 on the old PC boot and work like before or that's gone now?

Thanks in advance!
