Hello everybody.

I have a old pc like 4 years old and i want to upgrade it (it is a prebuild).

So i went onto the internet and selected some parts that i wanted but am affraid they might not be compatible or am bottle necking some thing.

If someone wants to check for me and correct me if neccesary that would be very nice.

The Parts:

Just build a new PC the case isn't worth building in unless it's meant for upgrades you can keep the HDD tho, since you have an HDD already go for a 500GB boot drive saves some money

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

Some parts are good, some a bit odd.

It would help in know what you will do with the system, what the budget is, etc. Could you please fill out this:

Quote

Budget (including currency):

Country:

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Personally I would get a different board, get a new case, choose a different SSD, get a different PSU and possible do something else with the CPU/GPU combo (and possibly ditch the cooler, if changing the CPU too).

For example, for a gaming system you'll probably want to spend less on the CPU, more on the GPU.

You can go for something like this too:

A Ryzen 5 3600 + RTX 2060 Super combo just makes more sense for a gaming purposes, as opposed to a 3800XT + 2060 setup.

Other than that, I added a case, adjusted the PSU to one better suited for the system, same for the motherboard, different SSD (that's better in terms of speed too; the 860 EVO is kind of overpriced here in the Netherlands) and the cooler in this build is a great deal quieter.

If you're 'just' targeting 1080p60fps, you could certainly also go for something like a GTX 1660 Super or even 1650 Super, which would do 120 or 90 fps respectively.
