This isn't really affected by it being a complex number - it's just basic power rules.

 

From the given definition of z and w we know that:

WTF is this, I need help with this question. I have no idea why am I doing proofs questions as an engineering student.

Engineer will also have to be able to do proofs (I am an engineer myself). Besides, that task is not that complicated. Write the complex numbers in exponential notation, apply the 7th power, use the result given to you and you're done.
