Building my first PC

Luisc66

Budget (including currency): $1600 USD

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:Mainly for gaming and school use nothing heavy for school. Games such as ( Modern warfare, Death Stranding, Control, Assassin's Creed)

Other details I'm going to buy the parts from my local microcenter since school starts next week. I have a 2k monitor at 144hz. I've got peripherals already.

Parts:

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x $250

GPU: PowerColor Radeon RX 5700 XT Red Devil $420

Motherboard:Gigabyte X570 Aorus Pro WiFi $250

Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB 2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200 $107

PSU:EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G+ 750 Watt 80 Plus Gold $150

Storage: Crucial P1 1TB SSD 3D QLC NAND M.2 2280 PCIe NVMe $107

Case: NZXT Elite $155

Total with taxes:$1580

Are these parts good with one another or should I make some changes. Perhaps lower the price of some of parts or anything to improve this plan?

I have but my school starts soon and my classes are online. My laptop has reached it's end. Perhaps I can make a budget build and by February I'll have around another $3000 to upgrade.

I suggest an nvidia GPU maybe a 2060 super. AMD ones have buggy drivers.

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

It does not unless its an india exclusive or the seller is selling a 5600xt as 5700xt.

never heard about a 6 gb exclusive variant though, most likely someone trying to sell a 5600xt as a 5700xt. or just a simple misread.

Don't get the Powercolor GPU (personally I wouldn't get an AMD GPU at all), and don't get that case.

IIRC that GPU has the highest failure rate, and the case is a small heater. I'd try and get something with better airflow.

there are no gpu makers indigenous to india, so whatever available here is bound to be available in the US/UK/Canada. so there is no exclusive 6gb variant of the 5700xt

its either the poster's typo, or the seller is selling a 5600xt as a 5700xt. im from india as well, and no seller is dumb enough to that, even if he were trying to scam someone.

😕

if possible, you could settle with a 1660 and a 3300x for now, and get everything else on this list. once big navi, ampere and zen3 (ryzen 4000 or rumoured to be 5000) come out, you can accordingly upgrade with the extra money that you have saved up. im seeing the likes of a 3070/6800xt combined with a ryzen 7 4700x/5700x.

maybe replace the case with something with more decent airflow, like a meshify c and throw in a couple fans in there. consider even getting faster memory (something like 3600-3800 mhx) and larger storage.

(p.s. these names are hypothetical and are not the confirmed names of the skus that are coming out. dont sue me)

😕
