Why ? Just curious

It is mostly usless, there's enough air in the case. And it blocks the fan from pulling air.

How can I tell if it is i take or exhaust

The side of the fan with the bracket is the side that the air is pushed towards.

Most fans push air towards the frame (those 4 arms holding the motor to the outside) but you can also plug it in let it spin up, and feel the air flow. Also, that 80mm is very small. If you can snag a 120mm it will move more air

Yeah, more air is more better. LTT did a vid where they went full stupid and it helped. Might be a good time to look through all your fans to double check air flow now knowing air directionality
