Broken Key - Help Appreciated

Hello all,

 

I've recently (last 4 months) bought a new keyboard (Corsair K70 RGB MK.2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard), unfortunately the key '8' with the asterisk/star symbol is broken.

 

I've reset the keyboard, sadly this has not fixed it. This involves unplugging it, then re-plugging it in and holding escape for 5 seconds.

 

Has anyone got any suggestions as I don't wish to generate any e-waste where unnecessary!?

Have you tried taking the key cap off to see if there is any dirt or anything under the 8 key which could be stopping it from working. If of course you can do that on your keyboard.

RMA it. It must have a warranty that is longer than 4 months.
