550w enough?

AlexVeen

Planning to build:

Ryzen 5 3600

Vega 56

B450m Mortar MAX
Adata XPG sx8200 PRO

Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB 3200MHz

Seasonic Prime Snow Silent 550w Gold.

Now will this power supply be enough? I will only do some modest OC'ing or maybe I'll just run on stock.

550 is fine but I wouldn't overclock a Vega I'd undervolt they is a setting in amds adrenaline software to auto undervolt if you do that you'll get better performance and if you'd card is running Samsung hbm2 think about bios flashing it I did it to my card and have never looked back it was such a performance boost

(Most Samsung models are the stock blower shroud I recommend you download gpuz to find out before you do anything)

Another option is Seasonic Focus PX80 750 Platinum, which is 30 dollars more expensive.

I wouldn't put a 3900x and 2080ti on it, but it'd be plenty for your system. As for upgrading it depends on the upgrades, but you'd probably be ok

This would technically be better, but it is overkill for most rigs. What PSU do you have now?

you might as well go for the platnium one. I have heard that they last a long time and it is good quality and high wattage to cover almost any system
