I currently have windows stored on my Hard drive. If I install windows on my SSD to make it boot faster, and go in BIOS and select the SSD, will that keep all my applications and stuff that was on the Hard Drive, but still Load Windows Faster, or do I have to do a clean install?

Thanks

This would technically work but many programs wouldn't like suddenly running off D:/ instead of C:/ but yes your programs would still be there.

Look into Macrium Reflect. Try cloning the HDD to the SSD. It might complain if the SSD is smaller though.

To avoid potential headache before you start the install disconnect your HDD. Sometimes Windows does stupid stuff with the bootloader forcing you to never remove the drive you wernt installing to in order to boot from the other drive.

Hey, this didn't work out, I kept on getting "Not enough space" when I had well over 500 gb on my SSD. Don't know if it's because I had the trial version.

yes. How big is your old HDD? you might have too much information on it to copy over if its larger than your ssd.

Yeah, that's the error. My Hard Drive is 1tb and my SSD is 500gb. I'm guessing I have to do a clean install then
