L CTRL not working properly

I have found out recently that my left control isnt working properly on my keyboard every time i try to cut copy or paste.

 

i cant seem to find what is causing the issue and have tried a keyboard tester on this site:

https://www.keyboardtester.com/ (i dont really know if this site is reliable or not)

but it shows that the ctrl doesnt have a problem registering the key press

 

the keyboard is a Rexus Legionare MX 5.1 with content brown switches

*should mention that this keyboard is hot swappable 

 

would switching the switch with a switch that i dont frequently use like the menu key fix this?

havent tried to move it yet, forgot to mention that this problem only happens ocasionally though.
