Hi,

I'm looking for a cheap (ideally £50-75ish) mechanical TKL keyboard for gaming and typing. Ideally a UK layout but would probably get used to a US layout quickly enough.

I don't want clicky blue switches, but it'll be my first mechanical keyboard so suspect I'll be happy with either browns or reds. I've done lots of reading but am struggling to find anything that sounds just right. My two main options so far are:

  1. Fnatic Ministreak - this is £99 so more than I wanted to pay but gets great reviews. I'd have bought this in a heartbeat for the silent red switches as I want something quiet, but they're either out of stock or have discontinued them so I'd be getting the Brown/standard Red switches.
  2. Drevo Tyrfing v2 - this looks like a decent keyboard with Outemu Brown switches for £50, but lots of people have talked about an annoying pinging noise when they're typing. Having listened to this on Youtube, I think the noise would drive me mad.

Does anyone have any alternatives I could look at? Any good/bad experiences with the two options above?

Thanks in advance.

Hey thanks for the suggestion - there don't seem to be many Velocifire keyboards available in the UK but that could be due to Covid so will keep an eye out.
