Swapping mobo/cpu tomorrow

Hey, Im going to swap my old stuff to a fresh 10700k tomorrow and was just thinking, is there anything I should remember to do before swapping?

backup your files to an external drive

have thermal paste on hand to apply onto the new chip

dont forget the IO shield

have a USB stick with win 10 installer to re-install OS (not required but recommended after hardware swap)

 

sacrifice a lamb for blessings

It kinda depends what you had before and, if you want to keep the system drive.  General advices would be: back up all your data, get thermal paste, prepare to reinstall Windows. And of course be patient.
