Budget (including currency): 85-86K INR (excluding peripherals) And 100K INR (Including Monitor, Mouse and KBD)

Country: India

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: CAD, Mathematica ,Solid Works, Visual Studio and  Games like Valorant, Witcher 3, Rainbow 6 siege, Doom Eternal, Sea of thieves, Apex Legends

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I want to be able to afford at least 120 Hz monitor as for the past decade I have been stuck using a Dell Inspiron 13 5368 with a 60 Hz 1920X1080 Panel which has a pitiable i3-6100u with you guessed it 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM @ 2133 MHz. But I did upgrade the storage from a WD 5400RPM HDD to a Samsung 860 EVO SSD which I am going to be using a boot drive in my new PC due to budget limits. I have watched several of Linus' PC builds and I just want to get a proper good PC as next year I am going to college ( Hopefully, COVID-19 go away).

The attached screenshot is of the parts I have thought of using , and there is a parts list on PCpart picker also https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WCZbmg

And of course I want future upgradability to the new Ryzen CPUs hence, the b550 AORUS pro.

Looks fine, though I really wouldn't get a PC without an SSD in it. Drop down to the 3600 if it's cheaper, and add one.

@eeeee1 As I have mentioned I have a samsung 860 EVO in my current laptop which i plan on using

And I am willing to wait for the new AMD CPUs but, my present PC is pitiable and i get at least, (not kidding) 10 BSODs a Day, and I have checked everything Its due to the hardware. I have to attend my online classes and the PC sometimes shuts itself down in the middle of the class. Its 4 years old and It cost me too much at that time due to me not knowing anything about PCs

@dizmoBut I have heard that SSDs don't last long enough, so if I play say only like 5 or 7 games and a few programs should I get an SSD for my primary storage ?

And the 3600 If i add that in I might be able to squeeze in a logitech G503 HERO or a keyboard.

They last longer than you'll have your computer for. Short SSD life hasn't been an issue for well over a decade.

If that's your use case, I'd definitely ditch the HDD entirely and get an SSD.

@dizmoI had 1 more question in mind should I step down to a Ryzen 3 3100 ( the 3300x isn't available in my country, or the retailers ran out of stock) but I am afraid of CPU bottleneck for the other workloads as I am going to an Engineering College so I might need those other 2 cores for that, any idea ?

Or Should I wait until the next gen ryzen Desktop CPUs to launch as I might be building this early 2021 OR christmas or Halloween 2020 ?

If I want total 1 TB should I get 2 SSDs each of 512GB because, I might run two OSes and I feel a bit uneasy dualbooting off of the same drive like would it affect performance or something is always bugging me when dual booting and then there is the risk of corrupting or damaging one OS due to the other

It's not going to bottleneck it's just a little slower.

If you're not building until then, and you can save up some money, then it might be worth it. But the Ryzen 3 CPUs usually come out much, much later.

You are right mate I am just overthinking stuff, I will think about my build sometime later, right now I have to study and focus on exams
