my asus M5A97R2.0 burnt out on me cause i place the cpu fan connector in incorrectly into the fan header now im worried that newegg won't replace it with my 2 year service warranty with consumer induced damage coverage cause im missing 1 screw on the stock heat sink holder thiing i don't have a name for it but most amd motherboard have those i use a after market cooler but i couldn't find that 1 screw for my RMA replacement i put in i shipped it off already can anyone of you help thanks.

How could that happen as fan connectors and motherboard headers are keyed. Well you did make the mistake but if the warranty covers personal mistakes, which i doubt it, then you are safe.

I don't think it will matter since I wouldn't think they would care for that 1 screw that is on the motherboard. You should contact them to see if they would accept it. Hope your RMA process will be successful! :)
