I'm switching to an matx form factor for college, and since I won't be upgrading my cpu (at least not yet) I'm gonna get a cheap mobo as a replacement. I won't be overclocking much because my cpu CAN'T HANDLE IT for some reason. Find me a matx am3+ mobo with at least one 6gb/s sata for an ssd. Keep it under $80 please.

ALSO VERY IMPORTANT must not have a lot of color on it. A little color is okay but try to keep it mostly black gray and white.

Option 2 is the lesser of two evils

Try to find an 880 or 890 AM3+ board. 760 is terrible is so many ways. Everything from onboard graphics to sata ports.

They are mATX and they will work with every GPU and AM3+ CPU (might need a firmware upgrade to work better).

However don't expect an overclock using these boards.

Actually I'm gonna totally change this thread. I want you guys to pick one for me with at least 1 6gb/s sata port for an ssd. Brb changing original

Stick with what you have and try to find a case that is more compact then the standard ATX cases.

Trying to switch mobos, cases, windows activation, drivers, etc will all be a big PITA.

Just get the smallest case to fit your system into and use that. Yes it will take up more room then an matx build but will save you some money and most likely a headache.

^^^ If you want cheap^^^ that will do the job, not sure if you have graphics card or not, but this has the option to run either onboard or dedicated graphics.

never had an asrock before so i would review it first, normally you get what you pay for.

i wish Asus would make the Gryphon for AM3+ then it would be awesome.

got to love Asus components
