First ever build. Looking for some advice and tweaking if needed.

I'd get a 3300X, if you find one, and take the extra money and go for a 1660 Super.

 

And that power supply is really bad, try and get something B Tier or higher

If you want to build now go with something like this, upgraded power supply and better graphics card. I would wait for the new stuff to come out though.

Similarly performing but cheaper motherboard, much better SSD, much better GPU, much better case for airflow and not to mention the worlds better PSU. The Thermaltake TR2 is an atrocity.

The "upgraded power supply" is just as bad, and the BX500 is DRAMless.

 

Also, waiting for new hardware for a $750 build is pointless as we're only getting high-end hardware at release (most likely 3070 and up for Ampere, for example). Mid and low-end components have pretty much always come at a later date.

first number is to keep confusion about RTX on 2000, so it will have to be kept.

second number and third number are the generation number, which starts and 6 and goes up in this case

last number is just another 0

Pretty sure that was probably more to line up with AMD than anything. NVidia stops producing GPU dies close to the end of the line, so there aren't any extra that need to be sold off for a cheaper price. Some retailers might drop them a bit, but most hold onto the price they're at.
