God no. Not for those parts. Or not for anything rather, the EVGA W1/N1 are fire hazards.

Did you already order the CPU and motherboard? That pairing makes little to no sense.

What budget do you have left for the PSU and case?

so you have budget 9400f cpu (which is a bad choice since ryzen 3 3300x is miles better) with really good z390. You paid extra what 200 dollars for motherboard os you can overclock even 9900k in it, but you end up buying that cpu. makes no sense at all. over 200 dollars wasted there. for your build EVGA N1 and W1 arent that good,.

I run an all AMD build that would be the equivalent of those parts on a 450w Corsair CX series just fine but I would get a better power supply if you can

No worries, it's just that a locked i5 and Z390 really isn't a good way to go considering the hardware that's available at the moment. For instance, you could get a Ryzen 3600 and a solid B550 board for probably cheaper, and that's be much better in terms of performance.

I would look for at least a Corsair TX550M or be quiet! Pure Power 11 500W for the PSU. Ideally you should be looking at an RMx or Straight Power 11.

For the case, you want something that allows for ample airflow, so cases with those solid front panels aren't really ideal, even though they might look good. I'd suggest looking for a Phanteks P300A or P400A, Fractal Meshify C or be quiet! Pure Base 500DX.

With the P300A and Meshify C though you'll also need to throw in an extra two fans to run as intakes in the front. Some top performers are the Noctua NF-A14 and be quiet! Silent Wings 3 140mm, but the Arctic P14s are also very good performers for the money.

i've been planning on building a new pc for the first time and i already ordered some of the parts with the money i had back then, now all i need is a power supply and a case and i dont really know anything about power supplies
i already have an evga 500w 80+ power supply in my current pc so i was wondering if i could use it for my new build with these parts:

CPU: Core i5 9400f
Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z390-E GAMING ATX LGA1151
RAM: Corsair: Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200
Storage: WD Blue 500gb M.2-2280 SSD + Seagate Barracuda Compute 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM HHD
GPU: MSI RTX 2060 6gb Gaming z

even if it does work can you please recommend me a new power supply + case

when you have the new psu and cse you can either sell the cpu and mobo and  wait for ryzen 4th gen/ buy ryzen 5 3600 and b550 mobo. Or you can sell the 9400f and get used i7 8700k (8700k is still ebtter than 9600k and 9700k)

That's very poor in terms of quality.

Well, the 9600K works today but it's already getting pushed quite hard in CPU intensive titles like Battlefield 5. The 9700K is good, but more often than not it's very overpriced and doesn't make much sense to buy in this day and age.

for that motherboard any 8/9th gen i7 or above will do. even 9900k. Look for used i7 8700ks. they are very good still. i7 9700k is not worth it neither is 9600k. '

8700k or 9900k
