Recently, I have installed iTunes from the Microsoft store onto my laptop with the intention of adding music to my iPod Nano, however, my device isn't recognized. After a little digging, I've learned that the 'Apple' folder in common files is missing as well as the AMDS. I cannot find any place to individually install theses files to my laptop and after uninstalling and reinstalling 3 times, I'm out of luck and have not a clue what to do: anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried installing the standalone version? https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64

When I run it, I get this error screen:

Uninstall everything regarding iTunes before trying the standalone installer. I would remove the Apple Application support stuff as well.

Try restarting the system and try installing it again. Its worth a shot. I do know Apple is killing iTunes. Its no longer offered in MacOS. Now we have the Apple Music app. I think the iTunes Store technically exists for buying music, but Apple is trying to make music a subscription.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.
