It's almost certainly going to depend on your router's firmware. I don't know specifically how it can be done but if you know the manufacturer and model number on the router then that might help you in searching for it.

 

Or you could just use a lower spec cable...

By the way, my desktop is a docked laptop. Get over it, No seriously, I have an exterrnal monitor, keyboard, mouse, headset, ethernet and cooling fans all connected. Using it feels no different to a desktop, it works for several hours if the power goes out, and disconnecting just a few cables gives me something I can take on the go. There's enough power for all games I play and it even copes with basic (and some not-so-basic) video editing. Give it a go - you might just love it.

its not that i'm wanting to implement it, but its that i'm trying to see if a family member turned it on
The manufacturer of the router is Huawei and the model is HG532e
luckly they didnt changet the username and the password to get into the router device manager, so i can check
