Good time to upgrade?

Hi all,

I'm planning to upgrade my "media" (Really my gaming Pc at this point). It currently has:

- 4790K

- 32GB ram

- 2070 super

I'm finding in many modern titles that the cpu is bottlenecking. I don't follow tech as closely as I used to thus im unsure what the current timeline for the next intel/ AMD Cpu generation is. Is there something coming soon that would be perfect with a 2070 super?

It's a good time to upgrade in about two months, as new Ryzen CPUs will be released.

perfect, i'll wait till then. Is it a question of AMD Vs intel or are AMD still dominating the mid to lower high end CPU's?

I've had it since new and its still an impressive CPU even in 2020, but running 4.5ghz all this time has taken its toll. Voltages are basically maxed to keep it stable so its reaching the end of its life, but i'll wait till Q3/Q4 thanks.
