I wouldn't call it worth it just because it's not a form factor supported by most PCs. I can't walk up to a friends or relitives computer and just plug in my SD card unless I bought extra parts to convert it to USB Type A.

Is it the physical size you're interested in? Thumb drives can be pretty small and easier to carry around/handle/not lose after setting down.

Yes, but I highly value speed also. I would only be using it to store anime and HI-RES audio files.

I Prefer SD's because they're more convenient for storage (physically) and are easy to organize. I could also have as many as I want without causing a carrying hassle.

o?

Wouldn't a single external hdd be esier to work with?

I think most sd cards aren't using super high quality flash, so I have seen a good amount of failures with them. And high quality ones are pretty expensive.

I tend to swap SD cards a lot in my phone and in other devices, and I also do have a HDD but I mainly use it for backup

Then if your using it in your phone sd cards make a ton of sense. There really isn't any other good option.

Ah, if you plan to use it in your phone then SD is about your only option. SD cards are fine for most media (pictures, music, audio) I would be wary as to how many write cycles they can take before failing though. I've had my fair share of problems over the years with them failing. I wouldn't plan to load 100's upon 100's of GB of anime in cycles before running into problems.
